Modern technology, personal care, a short drive north up the beaches.

Manly has no shortage of dentists, so most patients who come to us from the peninsula are looking for something particular: precise implant work, a carefully planned smile makeover, or simply a calm, unhurried appointment where they are not rushed through. At Mona Vale Dental we pair modern technology with personal, one-on-one care, and we are only a short drive north up the beaches. Below is what Manly patients most often make the trip for, and why the right dentist is often worth a short drive from Manly.

Meet Dr Alistair Graham

Your care is led by Dr Alistair Graham, our principal dentist and practice owner, with more than 25 years of clinical experience. He holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (University of Bristol) and a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants (University of Sydney). Dr Graham is a Digital Smile Design Master and educator who mentors other dentists in implant and cosmetic techniques, and he directs the Northern Beaches International Team for Implantology Study Club, a group of dentists he leads to discuss complex cases and advances in modern dentistry, recognised as International Team for Implantology Study Club of the Year 2026. He is supported by a close, long-standing team.

“Good dental care starts with understanding the full picture.”

Why the trip north is worth it

Choosing a dental practice comes down to more than convenience, especially when you are happy to travel a little for the right care. Patients from Manly tend to stay with us because of how their visits feel and how their treatment is handled from start to finish. A few things consistently make the difference:

Modern technology

3D imaging, Digital Smile Design and same-day CEREC crowns help us plan treatment precisely and can reduce the number of visits.

Calm, unhurried care

Appointments are paced so you have time to ask questions, with options for nervous patients.

Implants under one roof

Surgery and the final restoration are handled by the same team, so your care stays joined up.

A practice that knows you

Privately owned since 2009, so you see familiar faces rather than a rotating roster.

Straightforward payments

All major health funds via HICAPS on the spot, plus interest-free payment plans.

Getting here from Manly

Getting to us from Manly is an easy run north up Pittwater Road, through Brookvale and Dee Why — roughly 16 to 17 kilometres, and a straightforward trip outside peak times. If you are coming from the southern end of the peninsula, it is a single main road most of the way, so it is a simple trip to fit around work or the school run.

Plenty of our patients already know Mona Vale from weekends up the beaches, whether that is the surf at Manly Beach, a wander along The Corso, or catching the ferry near Manly Wharf. You will find our practice on Waratah Street in the heart of the village, a short stroll from the shops and the sand, so it is easy to combine an appointment with a coffee or a few errands.
